Former Inter Milan midfielder Joel Obi could be the latest new face at Norwich City.
The Norwich City overhaul is showing no signs of slowing down. With Stuart Webber pulling the strings from a director of football role, the XI that takes to the field for Daniel Farke’s managerial debut against Fulham next month could be far different to the one that ended last season under Alan Irvine.
Just a matter of days after Jonny Howson completed his move to Middlesbrough, Tuttosport claim that he could be replaced at Carrow Road by Torino midfielder Joel Obi.

The Nigerian has a contract at the Turin club until 2019, but the report adds that he is available for transfer this summer. Norwich have reportedly made an approach, as has La Liga side Las Palmas and Greek team Thessaloniki.
Obi started his professional career with Inter Milan and earned a Champions League winner’s medal in 2010 after Jose Mourinho’s side beat Bayern Munich 2-0 in the final.
However, he failed to make much of an impact at the San Siro and his two year stay at Torino has hardly been a raging success either. Thanks to a series of injury problems, Obi has only started 16 Serie A games since the beginning of 2015/16.
Therefore, reports that Norwich have earmarked him as a replacement for the long-serving Howson may raise a few eyebrows. Yet, capable of playing in central midfield, out wide or in a full-back role, the 15-time international would at least give Farke plenty of options.

Norwich have already reinforced their midfield with the signing of Darmstadt’s Mario Vranjic and a loan deal for Southampton youngster Harrison Reed this summer.
