Could former Manchester City youngster Rony Lopes return to the Premier League? Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United have scouted him over ten times.

Newcastle United have scouted Sevilla winger Rony Lopes over ten times in recent months, with the Chronicle claiming that Steve Bruce is keen to bring the one-time Manchester City youngster back to the Premier League.
If The Magpies learned anything from their 3-1 defeat at Anfield on Saturday, it is that life in the top flight remains as ruthless as ever. Newcastle wasted their chances but Liverpool, inspired by Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah, took theirs in style.
According to the Chronicle, Bruce wants to add some much-needed cutting edge in attack by bringing in a winger with pace and power – and it seems that Lopes fits the bill.
The 23-year-old Portugal international only joined Sevilla in August in a £18 million deal from Monaco, for whom he scored 17 goals in a career-best 2017/18 campaign, according to Marca.

Lopes, who made just four appearances during his time at Manchester City, has played 11 minutes of La Liga football since moving to Andalusia with Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui leaving out of the match-day squad for the third time in four games during Sunday’s 1-0 win at Alaves.
With Lopes out of favour already under the former Real Madrid and Spain boss, could Sevilla be tempted to cash in as early as January with Newcastle continuously monitoring a player who appears to tick a lot of boxes for Bruce?
