Mo Diame will get a new contract if he makes three more Premier League starts for Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle United but could he move to La Liga or Serie A?

Newcastle United midfielder Mo Diame has suitors in Turkey, Spain and Italy as his contract runs down, the Chronicle has reported on Tuesday morning.
The Senegal international has been plying his trade at St James’ Park since the summer of 2016, when he arrived from Hull City for a fee of £3.5 million, according to the Chronicle.
Diame had scored a stunning winner in the play-off final against Sheffield Wednesday just a few weeks earlier.
But he has failed to replicate such moments of magic in the black and white stripes.
The former Wigan and West Ham midfielder has had his moments, particularly in the second half of last season. But he has fallen down the pecking order after the signing of Ki Sung-Yeung and the emergence of Sean Longstaff.

The Chronicle reports that Diame’s contract expires in June but he will automatically get a new deal if he makes three more starts this season. The 31-year-old would rather sign a two-year extension, yet it is claimed that Newcastle are unwilling to meet his demands.
As a result, Diame’s future is up in the air with clubs in three countries allegedly interested. The Chronicle claims that a number of sides from Turkey have made enquiries so far.
