Cristian Ramirez has been likened to Roberto Carlos, but will Newcastle United fans get the chance to find out why?

Newcastle United kept their first clean sheet since returning to the Premier League in Saturday’s 3-0 battering of West Ham United on Saturday.
Although, as manager Rafael Benitez was at pains to point out at full time, a vastly improved display, and a long-awaited win, should not distract from the Magpies’ need for new signings before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday.
The very fact that Chancel Mbemba has started the last two games at left-back proves this. Paul Dummett (below) is out of action until November with a hamstring injury and the only two alternatives on Newcastle’s books, Achraf Lazaar and Massadio Haidara, are clearly not in Benitez’s plans.

And the report adds that Newcastle have also been offered the chance to sign Cristian Ramirez from Russian outfit FC Krasnodar.
The 23-year-old Ecuadorian is one of the most exciting young full-backs in South America and has been likened to Brazil great Roberto Carlos for his dynamic dribbling and speed on the flank.

Ramirez joined Krasnodar from Hungarian outfit Ferencvaros in January of this year and impressed in his 15 starts in the Russian Premier League, although he has managed only one assist in that time.
Yet, it appears Ramirez is the kind of attacking full-back Newcastle supporters would relish, not to mention a complete antithesis to the more stable and pragmatic Dummett.
Whether Newcastle take up their chance to sign him, however, remains to be seen.
