Premier League duo Newcastle United and Fulham are both reportedly interested in signing Leicester City right-back Simpson in the January transfer window.

The experienced right-back spent three years at St James’ Park between 2010 and 2013, making 138 appearances and helping The Magpies win the Championship title before leaving for Queens Park Rangers.
But with his Leicester City contract due to expire at the end of the season, The Mail claims that Newcastle are keeping tabs on the situation with a move back to Tyneside on the cards.
It is understood that The Foxes are considering whether or not to cash in on Simpson in January rather than lose him for free next summer, though a new deal is not completely off the table as it stands.
Newcastle are expected to face competition from Fulham, however, with Cottagers manager Claudio Ranieri interested in reuniting with a defender who was a key part of his title winning Leicester team in the 2015/16 season.
Fulham have conceded the most goals in the Premier League with right-back one position that could do with some top level experience.
The Mail adds that a number of Championship clubs are keeping tabs on Simpson too with his future up in the air.
