Derby County’s star man will not be jumping ship to St. James’ Park this winter.
Newcastle United could be set for more transfer frustration with The Chronicle reporting that Derby County will refuse to entertain any offers for Tom Ince this month.
Magpies boss Rafa Benitez has been on the search for new signings to boost his squad after a run of two defeats in their last three games threatened to undo all of their early good work this season.
A number of central midfielders have been linked although The Chronicle claim that it is the left wing position where the Spaniard is most determined to strengthen.
However, with Alan Judge yet to recover from a broken leg and looking certain to stay at Brentford, and Benitez remaining unconvinced about Montpellier attacker Ryad Boudebouz, as reported by The Chronicle, reports emerged that Newcastle would turn their attention to the star player of one of their promotion rivals.

Nonetheless, The Chronicle add that Derby have no intention of letting Ince, their top scorer with eight goals, depart mid-way through the season with a play-off push on the line.
The quick-footed winger’s virtuoso performances in attack are a major factor in the Rams’ rise from the lower regions of the table to the top eight since Steve McClaren returned in October and, without his goals from the wing, Derby would be far and away the league’s lowest scorers.

Nonetheless, Newcastle will once again have to turn their attention elsewhere though their options appear to be drying up.
