Ayoze Perez is thriving in the Premier League with Newcastle United but is allegedly tempted by Real Betis’s exciting La Liga project.

Ayoze Perez is probably in his best run of form since that excellent start to his Newcastle United career back in the 2014/15 season.
The Magpies have all but secured their top flight survival on the back of successive wins against Huddersfield Town, Leicester City and Arsenal, and the diminutive Spaniard has scored in all three games.
According to Gol Digital, Perez’s series of match-winning performances has seen him being lined up for a return to Spain this summer, four years after he moved to St James’ Park from Tenerife for a bargain £1.5 million.

It is understood that an ambitious Real Betis side are keen to bring Perez to the Estadio Benito Villamarin this summer, and the report adds that the player himself would be keen to join a club renowned for their attractive attacking football, particularly with qualification for next season’s Europa League looking likely.
Gol Digital claims that a number of clubs have contacted Newcastle to enquire about the availability of the versatile forward. But Betis, who have already secured the signings of Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez (below) and Eibar winger Takashi Inui on pre-contract agreements, appear to be leading the chase so far.

But it would make absolutely no sense for Newcastle to cash in on Perez right now. He has blossomed into one of their most effective and influential performers in recent weeks and, at the age of 24, should only get better after spending more time working with Rafa Benitez.
