Andrej Kramaric’s sensational Bundesliga form for Hoffenheim has reportedly put him on Newcastle United’s radar.

Andrej Kramaric did not exactly cover himself in glory during his 12 months of Premier League football with Leicester City, but Bundesliga aficionados will be able to tell you exactly why Newcastle United could offer the Croatian striker a second chance in England.
According to The Chronicle, Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has put together a list of transfer targets as he aims to build on last season’s impressive tenth placed finish. And owner Mike Ashley has stated that he will back Benitez in the transfer market.

The report adds that a new centre-forward is high on the former Liverpool manager’s wishlist. And Newcastle’s head of recruitment Steve Nickson is said to have been closely following Kramaric during a superb run of form for Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim.
The 26-year-old struggled for form in the first half of the season but exploded into life after the winter break, eventually tallying 13 goals and six assists as Julian Nagelsmann’s side qualified for the Champions League group-stage for the first time in their history.

The Chronicle adds that Newcastle have scouted Kramaric before and the versatile forward has been so impressive that he is even on the radar of Bayern Munich with the future of star striker Robert Lewandowski coming under scrutiny.
Kramaric was never really given a chance at Leicester, starting just six league games for The Foxes, but since moving to Germany he has established himself as an all-round, Swiss army knife of an attacker who can score as well as create.
