Oumar Niasse is reportedly set to leave Everton for Cardiff City, leaving Premier League strugglers Newcastle and Huddersfield Town disappointed.

If Newcastle United and Huddersfield Town are to find form in the second half of the season, signing a new striker is pretty much non-negotiable.
The Magpies have been forced to rely on Salomon Rondon, who is hit-and-miss at best, while the Terriers find themselves eight points adrift of safety after scoring just 13 goals in 22 Premier League games.
And it already seems that Oumar Niasse could be one that got away. According to the Sun (17 January, page 55), both Newcastle and Huddersfield were keen to sign the 28-year-old Everton striker this month.
But Niasse is instead set to join relegation rivals Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season, with a medical scheduled for some time on Thursday.

The former Lokomotiv Moscow man, a £13 million signing in 2016, scored eight times in just 10 Premier League starts last season, proving that he can be a reliable source of goals when given regular game time.
And if he fires Cardiff away from the bottom three, Newcastle and Huddersfield could be left wondering what might have been.
