Ibrahim Amadou’s starring role in Sevilla’s 2-0 win against Barcelona has allegedly caught the eye of Premier League duo Newcastle and Fulham.

Newcastle United and Fulham are both keen to sign the Sevilla midfielder Ibrahim Amadou after his excellent performance against Barcelona in the Copa Del Ray, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
The 25-year-old Frenchman moved to La Liga from Lille just last summer for a fee of £9 million, but he has failed to really make an impression for Pablo Machin’s side, with injuries restricting him to just two La Liga starts.
But Amadou provided a timely reminder of his qualities as Sevilla beat Barcelona 2-0 in the first leg of the Copa Del Rey semi-final on Wednesday, producing a dominant performance at the base of midfield.
And, according to Mundo Deportivo, this has only served to justify interest from Newcastle and Fulham, who are intrigued by Amadou’s ability to play in defence or further forward in front of the back line.

It is understood that the former France U19 international wants to remain at Sevilla for now, however, suggesting that he will reject the chance to join a club fighting against relegation from the Premier League.
As well as displaying impressive adaptability, Amadou has strong leadership skills and was made captain of Lille at the start of the 2017/18 season by now-Leeds United coach Marcelo Bielsa.
