Newcastle United have reportedly failed with three previous attempts to bring Galatasaray’s Super Lig champion Garry Rodriguez to the Premier League.

The Garry Rodrigues to Newcastle United rumour continues to rumble on over in Turkey.
Galatasaray’s Cape Verde winger has been heavily linked with a move to St James’ Park over the last few months amid reports of multiple bids from the Tyneside giants.
Gunes claimed that Newcastle made a £7 million offer in January which was dismissed out of hand and Turkish Football believes that Rafa Benitez’s side returned with a fresh bid in the summer too, only for Galatasaray to stand firm.
Interestingly, Turkish Football have reported that Newcastle are still scouting the former PAOK frontman Rodrigues, who helped Gala win the Super Lig title last season.
Newcastle, the report adds, could make it fourth time lucky in January with Galatasaray willing to cash in on the 27-year-old. Whether the Magpies are capable of paying the £13 million fee required, however, remains to be seen.

Rodrigues has endured a rather slow start to 2018/19, having scored three goals and produced no assists in nine games. He tallied a hugely impressive 10 goals and set up 11 more last season.
But the speedy and direct left winger could provide the creativity a Newcastle side with no wins and six goals are crying out for.
