Ligue 1 outfit Strasbourg are reportedly close to signing Belgian goalkeeper Matz Sels from Premier League side Newcastle United.

Newcastle United are finally seeing some movement in the transfer market. By that, we mean players are heading out of St James’ Park rather than arriving.
Chancel Mbemba completed his protracted move to Primeira Liga champions FC Porto on Monday after weeks of speculation, adding £6 million to the coffers. This will come in handy with Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez admitting that he needs to sell in order to fund deals for new arrivals.
And it seems that another Magpie misfit, Matz Sels, is closing in on a move away from Tyneside too with three weeks left in the transfer window.
The Mail claimed on Monday that Newcastle were hoping to sell the Belgian goalkeeper to Ligue 1 outfit Strasbourg for a fee of £4 million. And it seems that this particular deal is moving rather fast.

Because Belgian publication HLN states that Sels has already agreed personal terms with Strasbourg as his disappointing spell as a Newcastle player comes to an end.
The Tyneside giants paid £5 million to sign the 26-year-old from Gent in the summer of 2016 but he struggled to adapt to the physical nature of English football, making just nine starts before being dropped by Benitez just a few months into his debut season.
Sels spent the 2017/18 campaign on loan at Anderlecht. He is still the most expensive shot-stopper in Newcastle’s history.
