Newcastle United, Fulham and Everton reportedly want to hand Guingamp play-maker Clement Grenier his long-awaited Premier League chance.

Clement Grenier could finally get his chance in the Premier League.

L’Equipe reports that Everton, Newcastle United and newly-promoted Fulham have all contacted the French play-maker about a potential move to England this summer. After injury-ravaged spells at Lyon and Roma, Grenier moved to Guingamp in January and has since rediscovered the form that once saw him emerge as one of the biggest talents in French football.

The 27-year-old scored five times and set up four more in just 15 appearances for Guingamp between January and May. And, with just a year remaining on his contract, it is understood that the five-time France international is available for a fee of just £2.65 million.

The report adds that AC Milan and Fenerbahce are also interested. But Newcastle, Everton and Fulham will be hoping that the pull of the Premier League encourages Grenier to make the trip across the Channel.

The 6ft 1ins midfielder has always been a player with outstanding technical ability, but fitness issues mean he has never really come close to realising his fine potential. He missed the 2014 World Cup after suffering an injury just six days before the tournament started; a blow that rather summed up his career.

But that does not appear to have put off Everton, Newcastle or Fulham – all of whom are willing to give Grenier the chance to prove himself on arguably European football’s biggest stage.
