Huddersfield Town’s Steve Mounie could reportedly return to the Premier League with Newcastle United, Palace, Watford or Bournemouth.

Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are among the Premier League clubs keen to sign Steve Mounie despite the Huddersfield Town striker’s dismal 2018/19 campaign, according to TEAMtalk.
The Terriers finished bottom of the English top flight in May but they are yet to lose any of their key players with Aaron Mooy, Philipp Billing and Jonathan Hogg all still stuck at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Interest is rising in Benin striker Mounie, however. A club-record £12 million signing from Montpellier in 2017, the 6ft 3ins targetman enjoyed a promising debut season at Huddersfield but he failed miserably to build on that bright start in 2018/19.
Mounie managed just two goals throughout the entire campaign. And while he will point to a lack of service, Huddersfield fans will be at pains to make clear that most of the chances Mounie did have were squandered horribly.
Yet, that has apparently not stopped Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Watford and Bournemouth from expressing an interest in the goal-shy 24-year-old.

Though Mounie’s outstanding 2016/17 season at Montpellier, where he hit the net 14 times in Ligue 1, proves that there is a reliable goalscorer in there somewhere.
A change of scene, and the chance to work with attackers like Miguel Almiron, Josh King or Wilfried Zaha, could be the making of him.
