Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur are the two Premier League clubs who have been linked with Serie A midfielder Diawara.

Italian paper Tuttosport has some good news for Wolverhampton Wanderers with just weeks to go until the January transfer window opens.
Calciomercato claimed last week that Wolves were chasing the highly-rated Napoli midfielder Amadou Diawara with super-agent Jorge Mendes once again acting on the club’s behalf and driving the pursuit.
The report added that Napoli would demand a massive £44 million, which would make Diawara comfortably Wolves’ record signing.
Nonetheless, it seems that a mid-season move to Molinuex could be on the cards. Tuttosport have stated that Napoli have eyed up a replacement if Diawara asks to leave, having started just four Serie A games since Carlo Ancelotti replaced Maurizio Sarri at the Stadio San Paolo.
It is reported that Napoli have their eyes on Celta Vigo’s combative midfielder Stanislav Lobotka as his replacement. The La Liga ace will cost around £35 million.

This promising update shouldn’t go unnoticed by Tottenham Hotspur either, after they made a bid at the start of the summer, according to TMW.
Blending class and combativeness in the centre of the park, Diawara is one of a number of talented midfielders who could replace Mousa Dembele once the Belgian’s contract expires at the end of this season.
