Championship leaders Leeds United are reportedly keen to reunite La Liga ace Ibai Gomez with Marcelo Bielsa.

Deportivo Alaves talisman Ibai Gomez is out of contract at the end of this season and is hardly short of options as he weighs up what to do next.
According to AS, Eibar, Real Sociedad and former club Athletic Bilbao are all in the running to sign the in-form Basque-born wide man. But a move to England is on the cards, too, with Leeds United allegedly keen to reunite him with his one-time Bilbao boss Marcelo Bielsa.
Goal claimed recently that Leeds were confident of winning the race for Ibai’s signature but, interestingly, AS reports that the 28-year-old is keen to hear what Alaves have to offer before deciding to leave.
Ibai has blossomed since joining Alaves in 2016, becoming one of the most underrated attacking players in La Liga and thriving upon the responsibility of being his team’s go-to man.

No wonder Ibai could decide to shun offers from elsewhere and commit his future to a plucky Alaves side who are currently fifth in the La Liga table and just four points behind Barcelona.
If Leeds want to end their Premier League exile, signing Ibai would go a long way to doing that. Blessed with brilliant vision and the ability to produce something out of nothing, he could take the pressure off Pablo Hernandez and Samu Saiz, while helping turn those frustrating draws into vital wins.
