Nadir Ciftci’s time at Scottish Premiership giants Celtic was up but he could reportedly return home to Turkey this summer.

Despite a dreadful three-year spell at Celtic which resulted in 26 games, four goals and some truly awful loan spells, Nadir Ciftci already has offers on the table just five days after being made a free agent.
Celtic released the ill-fitting striker last week despite the fact he had one year left on his contract. And the Scottish Sun claimed that the Turk, who arrived from Dundee United in 2015 for £1.5 million, had been lined up for a return to Tannadice, as well as a permanent move to Motherwell side who had Ciftci on loan in the second half of last season.

It is understood that newly promoted Turkish Super Lig side Erzurumspor, who were only founded 13 years ago and are taking on the top flight for the first time, have offered Ciftci a one-year contract.

It remains to be seen, however, whether Ciftci favours staying in Scotland or returning to Turkey.
The one-time Portsmouth youngster represented Kayserispor in 2011/12 and also spent time on loan at Eskisehirspor in 2016, scoring a combined four goals in 23 games for the two Turkish top flight outfits.
