Everton and Crystal Palace both reportedly wanted to lure Morgan Sanson to the Premier League from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille.

Crystal Palace and Everton were both interested in signing Morgan Sanson but the midfielder has no interest in leaving Marseille for the Premier League before today’s 5pm deadline, according to La Provence.
In truth, fans of The Toffees and The Eagles probably won’t be too concerned.
Everton have already signed Andre Gomes, Fabian Delph and Jean-Philippe Gbamin this summer while Palace completed moves for James McCarthy and Victor Camarasa on Wednesday.
So it seems that both clubs new for some time that a potential deal for Sanson was a none starter.
According to La Provence, the former Montpellier talisman has always had his heart set on staying at Marseille, despite the French giants missing out on Champions League qualification and being forced to bid farewell to a few of their star players to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.

The 24-year-old is the definition of an all-action midfielder, combative yet classy and capable of cutting open a defence at will with a perfectly weighted slide-rule pass.
But Gomes can do a similar job in the centre of Everton’s midfield while Camarasa, who looks like an inspired signing for Crystal Palace on loan from Real Betis, should provide plenty of quality in the final third for Roy Hodgson’s side.
