Macedonian midfielder Mile Todorov had a trial at Steven Gerrard’s Scottish Premiership powerhouses Rangers in January.

Rangers have the option to sign young midfielder Mile Todorov after his recent trial at Ibrox, according to the Daily Record.
A 19-year-old Macedonian, Todorov impressed during a short-term spell with the Scottish Premiership powerhouses in January ahead of a potential move from Croatian third tier outfit NK Novigrad.
A defensive midfielder by trade who can also play on the right, the teenager is highly rated in Eastern Europe and was part of the Macedonia team who stunned an England U19 side featuring Phil Foden and Jadon Sancho last year, beating the Three Lions 2-0.
According to the Daily Record, however, Todorov has now completed a move to NK Osijek instead – the Croatian outfit Rangers beat en route to qualifying for the Europa League group stage at the start of the season.

But that does not mean he will not end up at Ibrox. The Record adds that Rangers still have the option to take Todorov on trial again or even sign him permanently in the summer if he impresses for Osijek’s B team over the next few months.
As a result, Todorov could be the second player to swap Osijek for Ibrox in the space of 12 months, potentially following in the footsteps of left-back Borna Barisic.
