Bristol City reportedly want a striker with Middlesbrough’s Britt Assombalonga and Aston Villa’s Sheffield United loanee Scott Hogan targets.

Bristol City are hoping to sign a new striker in the summer and are planning to make a move for both Britt Assombalonga and Scott Hogan, according to the Bristol Post.
Despite sitting sixth in the Championship table and looking set for a place in the play-offs, only two teams in the top ten have scored fewer goals this season than Lee Johnson’s Robins with Famara Diedhiou, the club’s most prolific player, netting just 11 times.
As a result, Bristol City are set to make a new striker their top priority and The Post believes that Assombalonga and Hogan, who are under contract at Middlesbrough and Aston Villa respectively, are top targets.
A £15 million signing from Nottingham Forest in 2017 (Nottingham Post), Assombalonga is Boro’s record signing but he has started just 23 league games this season with Tony Pulis seemingly unconvinced by the forward’s quality.

Hogan, meanwhile, has scored just once in an injury hit campaign and has continued to struggle since joining Sheffield United on loan from Aston Villa in the January transfer window.
Villa would surely sell their £12 million flop if they are offered a reasonable bid.
