Could Serie A winger Lucas Boye be the man who brings some quality to Boro’s Championship attack?

Middlesbrough are interested in signing Torino winger Lucas Boye, according to SDNA, as Jonathan Woodgate looks to enhance his squad before the Championship kicks off this weekend.
Boro’s new manager would have planned to use the transfer window to build a team in his own image with Woodgate looking to move away from the pragmatism of Tony Pulis.
And the North East outfit are starting to make strides in the window, albeit belatedly, with Marcus Browne joining from West Ham and Marc Bola coming in from Blackpool at left-back.
Browne and Bola should add more creativity and technical ability to a side who narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season and SDNA believes that they could be joined on Riverside by 23-year-old Boye.

An Argentina winger nicknamed ‘The Tank’ for his powerful, direct style, Boye spent last season on loan at AEK Athens in Greece and scored six goals in 36 games. He spent part of the previous campaign at Celta Vigo so it seems that he doesn’t really have a role in the Torino squad.
Considering that Middlesbrough scored just 49 goals in 46 league games last season, Boye could add some much needed quality in the final third too.
