Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers paid Middlesbrough £18m to sign winger Adama Traore and Boro allegedly want him back.

A run of three games without a win has left Middlesbrough on the verge of dropping out of the play-off positions, with Tony Pulis’s side now just two points above seventh-placed Nottingham Forest.
And it seems Boro’s problems lie in a lack of real force in front of goal. The North East outfit have scored just 23 times in 21 Championship games; the lowest tally in the top ten.
According to TEAMtalk, Middlesbrough have made an ambitious attempt to bring Adama Traore back on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, just five months after selling him to the Premier League newcomers for £18 million.
It is understood that Traore has grown frustrated with his lack of opportunities under Nuno Espirito Santo, the 22-year-old making only his third start of the season in Sunday’s 2-1 win at Newcastle United.
Traore was taken off on the hour at St James’ Park.

And TEAMtalk reports that Pulis would love to reunite with the jet-heeled winger in the second half of the season, with the Boro boss aiming to sign two wide men in January.
With the Sun (7 December, page 63) suggesting that Wolves are set to offer £15 million for Alex Pritchard, and A Bola claiming that a £17 million deal for Japan international Shoya Nakajima is edging closer, Traore could fall further down the pecking order.
