Marvin Johnson has made seven Championship appearances for Sheffield United since arriving on loan from Tony Pulis’s Boro.

There are just two places and one point between Middlesbrough and Sheffield United in the Championship play-off spots. But it seems that will not stop Boro from selling a player to their promotion rivals.
According to the Star, Middlesbrough are willing to listen to offers for Marvin Johnson, who moved to Sheffield United on loan in the summer in a deal that is due to reach the end of the season.
It is unknown how much Tony Pulis’s side would demand for Johnson, who arrived at the Riverside from Oxford United for £2.5 million 16 months ago, but you can imagine they would like to recoup their investment in an ideal world.
Whether Sheffield United would snap up the chance to sign Johnson permanently remains to be seen. The 28-year-old winger has made seven Championship appearances for Chris Wilder’s side but just one of those has been from the start.

He came off the bench for the final six minutes in Saturday’s narrow 1-0 home defeat to Leeds United.
And, in truth, it seems there is no future for Johnson at parent club Middlesbrough.
