Could Marcus Maddison and Ivan Toney be on their way to the Championship with Derby County or Middlesbrough in January?

Derby County and Middlesbrough are interested in signing Peterborough United hotshots Ivan Toney and Marcus Maddison, according to TEAMtalk, but it could take a bid of £20 million to convince the League One outfit to part with their two star men.
Darren Ferguson has two of the most influential forwards in the Football League at his disposal right now with Toney and Maddison striking the fear of god into defenders all over the third tier.
Toney has scored eight goals in nine games already, picking up where he left off last season. And why Maddison is still yet to play at a higher level is anyone’s guess.
The dazzling play-maker arguably has Premier League quality in his boots and, with 11 goals or assists in eight games, he appears to be getting better by the week.
No wonder Peterborough will demand top dollar should clubs come calling in January with TEAMtalk claiming that Posh value Toney and Maddison at around £10 million each.

The report adds that Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City showed interest in the prolific duo over the summer while Derby and Middlesbrough are still watching their progress ahead of a potential bid in the New Year.
But with Peterborough demanding £20 million and with Premier League clubs showing an interest, as reported by TEAMtalk, it seems unlikely that Toney and Maddison will be tearing defences apart at Pride Park or the Riverside any time soon.
