Championship side Leeds United are reportedly in talks with Kasimpasa striker Mbaye Diagne but his lack of a work permit makes things difficult.

Leeds United’s pursuit of a proven Championship striker has not panned out particularly well.
Abel Hernandez, Jordan Hugill, Jonathan Kodjia and Britt Assombalonga have all been linked with a glamour move to Elland Road but it seems that none are likely to happen. And Matej Vydra, who has been reported to be Leeds’ top target for a number of weeks, is unlikely to be arriving either after the Yorkshire Evening Post claimed that he wanted wages of £50,000 a week.
Middlesbrough’s Patrick Bamford is the latest name in the frame but he would not come cheap either. And, to make matters worse, Leeds also appear to be running into trouble over in Turkey.

The Whites have allegedly been in talks with Kasimpasa striker Mbaye Diagne for over a week now and, according to Turkish Football, remain interested after making an enquiry about his availability.
The 26-year-old scored 12 goals in 17 games for Kasimpasa after moving from China in January and Leeds have been informed that he would be available for a decent fee of £3.6 million.
But latest reports from Turkish Football claim that Diagne’s move to Elland Road has hit a snag after it emerged that he would have to apply to the FA for a work permit in order to play in England.
Fortunately, the one-time Juventus youngster’s representative has informed suitors that he is applying for Italian citizenship, which would give him EU status and smooth a potential move to Leeds.
Although this means a move could be delayed until January. It is reported that Diagne also has interest in Russia but wants to move to Britain.
