West Bromwich Albion will surely boost their Championship title prospects by signing Sporting Lisbon’s Matheus Pereira and Southampton’s Charlie Austin.

Sporting Lisbon winger Matheus Pereira is travelling to England in order to seal a move to West Bromwich Albion on transfer deadline day, according to Record.
With the hours ticking away, The Baggies appear to be one or two signings away from truly establishing themselves as the favourites to lift the Championship title.
In Slaven Bilic, they have a manager with not only the experience but the force of personality to drag West Brom back to the Premier League. And, in Matt Phillips, Kieran Gibbs and Ahmed Hegazi, Bilic can count upon a few players who would walk into 90 per cent of second-tier teams.
But with both Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez bidding farewell this summer and only Kenneth Zohore arriving, West Brom need some attacking reinforcements to complete an otherwise formidable squad.
Fortunately, they are in luck. After weeks of speculation, 23-year-old Brazilian is on the verge of a move to The Hawthorns. Record claims that he is travelling to England on Thursday.

An attacker who shone on loan in a relegated Nurnburg side in the Bundesliga last season, scoring against Bayern Munich and earning comparisons with Mo Salah, will join on loan with an option to buy for £9 million.
The Baggies are also in talks to sign Charlie Austin from Southampton (Express and Star). With he and Pereira on board, there’s surely very little to stop Bilic guiding West Brom to the Promised Land.
