Marco Silva worked with William Carvalho at Primeira Liga giants Sporting Lisbon and a reunion could be on the cards at Everton in the Premier League.

Rumours linking William Carvalho with a move to Everton just aren’t going away.
It was understood that Everton have held talks with Carvalho, who has a £40 million release clause in his contract but could be available for a little less than that this summer.

Because Marco Silva, who is expected to be announced as Everton’s new manager sooner rather than later, is a big fan of the 26-year-old and wants to make the powerhouse one of his first new signings at Goodison Park.
Silva is a big fan of Carvalho, A Bola adds, and knows him well from his short stay in the Sporting dugout.

The 40-year-old was manager of the Lisbon giants during the 2014/15 season and Carvalho played 42 games in all competitions, helping Sporting win the Taca de Portugal trophy at the end of the campaign.
Interestingly, A Bola reports that another former Sporting manager, Leonardo Jardim, is in the race to sign him too with his Monaco side in need of a replacement for the Liverpool-bound Fabinho.
It is understood that Everton could pay around £25 million for Carvalho.
