Everton are reportedly aiming to sign Argentine World Cup defender Marcos Rojo from Manchester United.

Everton manager Marco Silva has already paid a huge fee to sign one of his former players this summer, spending £50 million to reunite with former Watford winger Richarlison at Goodison Park.
And reports in the Mail claim that Silva has now turned his attention towards working again with his former Sporting Lisbon defender Marcos Rojo. It is reported that the 41-year-old has made signing the 59-time Argentine international a priority – but he will not come cheap.
Manchester United want £30 million for a player they paid £16 million for after the 2014 World Cup.
Rojo is understood to be aware that he is the Old Trafford centre-back most likely to be sold this summer, as Jose Mourinho aims to shake up his defence. And the 28-year-old returned to Manchester last week to discuss his future rather than join up with his teammates in the US.

Although, while Mourinho’s plans for Rojo remain uncertain, it seems that Silva has already decided what role the 2014 World Cup finalist will have at Everton should the move come off.
It is reported that the Toffees coach wants to introduce a three-at-the-back system at Everton and plans to utilise Rojo on the left of his defence.
Rojo is a left-footed centre-back by trade and can also play at wing-back, meaning he should have little difficulty adapting to the tactics of a man who got the best out of him at Sporting.
