Everton are still making the final changes to their squad ahead of the new Premier League season with a number of players set to bid farewell.

Marco Silva and Marcel Brands arrived at Goodison Park promising big improvements and Everton have certainly made attempts to overhaul a squad that has underachieved massively in the last few seasons.

Though only two new players have arrived in Lucas Digne and £50 million club-record signing Richarlison, The Toffees have managed to get rid of Davy Klaassen, Ramiro Funes-Mori and Joel Robles while forcing out Wayne Rooney.

And according to the Liverpool Echo, four more first-team players have been told that they do not have a future on Merseyside.

It is reported that Ashley Williams, Kevin Mirallas, Cuco Martina and Nikola Vlasic have been frozen out by Silva and told to train away from the senior squad.

The exclusion of Williams and Mirallas won’t come as much of a shock. 33-year-old Williams appears to be well past his best and the Liverpool Echo reports that Stoke City want to sign him on loan whereas Mirallas failed to impress during a loan spell at Olympiakos last season.

Reports that Vlasic and Martina are not in Silva’s plans, however, are more of a shock.

20-year-old Vlasic is a big talent and only arrived last summer from Hajduk Split for £10 million. And Martina, while not the most gifted of footballers, is capable of playing on the right or the left of defence and offers plenty of versatility.
