Declan Rice impressed despite West Ham United’s 4-0 Premier League defeat against Manchester City at the London Stadium.

At the age of just 19, Declan Rice is facing an uncertain future for both club and country.

Questions remain about whether the talented teenager will play his international football for England or the Republic of Ireland, while his time at West Ham United is also turning into a ‘will he, won’t he’ saga with his contract situation up in the air.

According to The Metro, West Ham are fearful of losing Rice on a free when his deal expires in 2020. The defender turned midfielder has already rejected the club’s most recent offer of £20,000 a week, something that has not gone unnoticed by potential suitors.

The report adds that Manchester United are one of a number of clubs interested in the former Chelsea youngster, and sent scouts to watch him in person for the first time as West Ham were swept aside 4-0 by rivals City at the London Stadium on Saturday.

Rice is not the only Hammers star linked with a move to Old Trafford either.

The Mail reported at the weekend that United are interested in talisman forward Marko Arnautovic, while Jose Mourinho is also a big fan of 21-year-old centre-back Issa Diop (below), who only arrived in England this summer from Toulouse.
