Jose Mourinho reportedly wanted Serie A star Cancelo at Old Trafford in 2016 but is he finally heading to Manchester United this summer?

Manchester United are hoping to sign Juventus flyer Joao Cancelo in a deal worth around £35 million, according to Tuttomercatoweb.
With both Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia on the wrong side of 30, United are crying out for a new right-back and there are few better than Cancelo, who was a key part of Juventus’s latest Serie A title triumph this season.
The Portugal international has shone in Turin but it seems that coach Max Allegri still doesn’t trust the former Valencia star to start the so-called ‘big games’, dropping Cancelo for the Champions League quarter-final with Ajax.
And TMW reports that Allegri would give serious consideration to selling Cancelo should any club meet his £35 million price-tag.

Attack minded and technically gifted, Cancelo would be an undoubted upgrade on both Valencia and Young. He also impressed when Juve won 1-0 at Old Trafford in the Champions League group-stages in October.
United have been linked with Cancelo since his days at Valencia, El Desmarque claiming that Jose Mourinho had told super-agent Jorge Mendes of his intention to bring the full-back to Manchester back in 2016.
