Pep Guardiola bought Costa for £21m in 2015 and he’s now a reported target for Premier League champions Manchester City after struggling in Serie A.

Pep Guardiola is keen to reunite with Douglas Costa this summer and bring the Juventus winger to Manchester City, as reported by Tuttosport.
The Brazilian international joined Juve from Bayern Munich in 2018 for £35.8 million (BBC) after an initial loan spell in Turin and is on the verge of winning his second Serie A title under Max Allegri.
But this season has been a struggle for Costa, who has started just seven league matches with Federico Bernardeschi taking his place in the starting XI.
Tuttosport believes that the former Shakhtar Donetsk talisman could be offered an escape route, with Guardiola interested in working with the explosive wide man again.

The Spaniard was at the helm of Bayern Munich when they signed Costa for £21 million in 2015 (Mail) and the Samba star enjoyed the best year of his career under Guardiola, producing 18 assists for the Bundesliga champions in his debut campaign.
Calciomercato reported in February that City’s Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in Costa, with Juventus eyeing a profit. They want £45 million for the bench-warmer.
