Manchester City could reportedly bring two of Nigeria’s brightest talents to the Premier League before loaning them out to La Liga outfit Girona.

Manchester City are looking to sign two Nigerian youngsters this summer, according to All Nigeria Soccer.
The Premier League champions are expected to spend big this summer with a left-back and a defensive midfielder, one who can eventually replace the 33-year-old Fernandinho preferably, at the top of Pep Guardiola’s wish list.
City might also need another play-maker with doubts surrounding the future of Ilkay Gundogan.
So links with two of Africa’s brightest talents will probably go under the radar. According to All Nigeria Soccer, Manchester City are looking to bring in Nigeria youth captain Samson Tijani and the highly-rated Olakunle Olusegun this summer.
Both players have not yet been capped by the senior Super Eagles side, meaning there may be work permit issues. The report adds that, should Tijani and Olusegun move to the Etihad, they will be loaned out to Spanish sister club Girona.

Tijani is a defensive midfielder with huge promise and leadership skills while Olusegun is a speedy forward. The report adds that both deals will cost a combined £4 million.
Manchester City have also been keeping an eye on another Nigerian duo Akinkunmi Amoo and Olatomi Olaniyan but it seems that the Premier League leaders have prioritised their two compatriots instead.
