Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions Manchester City reportedly want to raid Ligue 1 outfit Lyon for Ndombele.

Lyon face a major fight to hang on to some of their key players this summer but they have set their stall out early by rejecting a big-money bid from Manchester City for Tanguy Ndombele, as reported by Le10 Sport.
Alongside Nabil Fekir, Houssem Aouar and Lucas Toussart, the French international midfielder has seemingly caught the eye of some of the continent’s biggest clubs since joining Lyon from Angers initially on loan.
Gazzetta dello Sport reported earlier in April that Juventus, PSG, Real Madrid and Liverpool are fighting it out for Ndombele while he has plenty of admirers at the Etihad too with City eyeing a long-term successor for the 33-year-old Fernandinho.
According to Le10 Sport, Pep Guardiola’s side have already seen a bid of around £43 million rejected by Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas, who is determined to earn top dollar for his prized asset.

City obviously have the funds to increase their offer but it remains to be seen whether they will pay the £63 million Lyon want for Ndombele,
According to the Sun (17 April, page 54), Manchester City have also looked at Atletico Madrid duo Rodri and Saul Niguez with Premier League pair Declan Rice and Ruben Neves also on their radar.
Guardiola lauded Ndombele’s performance as Lyon beat City 2-1 at the Etihad in the Champions League in November, describing him as ‘amazingly calm’ (Liverpool Echo).
