Toni Kroos’s future at La Liga giants Real Madrid is reportedly in doubt with Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions Manchester City interested.

Manchester City would be keen to sign Toni Kroos if Real Madrid are willing to listen to offers for their long-serving play-maker this summer, as reported by El Confidencial.
Kroos is one of the most successful and decorated midfielders of the modern era, having accumulated 20 trophies during silver-plated spells at Bayern Munich and Real Madrid including three Champions League crowns.
That is without mentioning his role in Germany’s World Cup triumph five years ago.
But with Real Madrid set to undergo a major squad overhaul in the close season, the 29-year-old’s future has been called into question.
El Confidencial reports that Manchester City would jump at the chance to offer Kroos a fresh start with the 92-time international capable of succeeding the veteran Fernandinho in the centre of the park.

Pep Guardiola knows Kroos well too, having worked with the play-maker during the 2013/14 season at Bayern Munich.
It is no secret that Guardiola wanted Kroos to stay in Bavaria and he was left hugely disappointed when the perennial Bundesliga champions sold him to Real Madrid for £20 million in the summer of 2014, as reported by the Mail.
“Kroos is a great guy, he loves the game. I would really like to hold onto him,” Guardiola had said.
