Premier League high-flyers Watford are looking at Ligue 1 with Francois Kamano of Bordeaux and Lyon’s Maxwel Cornet reportedly on their radar.

Watford have been linked with two jet-heeled Ligue 1 forwards, with Javi Gracia apparently keen to enhance his forward line this month.
According to the Independent, one name on the Hornets’ wish list is Lyon forward Maxwel Cornet, the 22-year-old who scored three goals in two games against Manchester City in this season’s Champions League group stage.
And it seemed a big-money deal could have been on the cards with Lyon willing to sell Cornet for a fee of £26 million.
Since them, however, the trail has grown cold. And Le 10 Sports explains why.
The report claims that Watford had made an initial offer of £18 million but Cornet has turned down a move to Vicarage Road.

Gracia’s high-flying side are impressing this season and have their eyes firmly focused on that coveted seventh spot but you can understand why Cornet would want to stay at Lyon, given that they will be playing in the Champions League knock-out stages next month.
Le 10 Sports adds that Watford have turned their attention to Bordeaux’s Francois Kabano instead, the Guinean international having scored 11 goals in all competitions this season.
