Jurgen Klopp reportedly wants two new centre-backs at Anfield with Premier League giants Liverpool aiming to raid Burnley and Newcastle United.

Liverpool spent a world record £75 million on bringing Virgil van Dijk to Anfield in January but that does not mean manager Jurgen Klopp is finished reshaping his defence.
It is understood that Klopp is a fan of the coveted Newcastle United captain Jamaal Lascelles, who excelled in his first full Premier League season as Rafa Benitez’s Magpies finished in tenth position.

Lascelles, who was perhaps unfortunate to be left out of England’s World Cup squad, is valued by Newcastle at around £30 million and is also on the radar of Chelsea, according to the Mirror.
The Independent add that another highly-rated defender who will be left at home by Gareth Southgate this summer is on Klopp’s shortlist, too – James Tarkowski.

The 25-year-old was a revelation as Burnley exceeded all expectations and qualified for Europe for the first time in their history in 2017/18. Tarkowski, who joined from Brentford in 2016, comfortably replaced the departed Michael Keane at centre-back and was rewarded with an England debut back in March.
Liverpool currently have Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan on their books but their futures are likely to come under question amid these latest reports.
