Steven Bergwijn was reportedly watched during the Champions League in midweek with Premier League giants Liverpool seemingly big fans.

It is looking more and more likely that Steven Bergwijn will be the next fresh-faced starlet to graduate from the Eredivisie finishing school.
The Dutch winger has come on leaps and bounds this season for a PSV Eindhoven side who have won all eight league games in a thrilling start to the campaign. Bergwijn has scored four goals and set up four more, two of which came in the 4-0 thrashing of VVV Venlo on Saturday.
And it seems that Bergwijn’s scintillating form has attracted attention from elsewhere. De Telegraaf reported that Liverpool sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old in action during PSV’s 2-1 home defeat against Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Sport are now claiming that Bergwijn has a release clause of just £18 million with Liverpool leading the queue, alongside their bitter north west rivals Manchester United.
On paper, Bergwijn would fit in perfectly at Anfield alongside his Netherland team-mates Virgil van Dijk and Gini Wijnaldum.
He is quick, direct and his end-product is improving all the time, meaning the counter-attacking, high-intensity style favoured by Jurgen Klopp could get the best out of the gifted Bergwijn.
