Is Marko Grujic on his way out of Liverpool this summer?

Goal had reported on Wednesday that the 22-year-old Serbian midfielder was a target for a number of clubs across the continent this summer. Fulham want Grujic as a potential replacement for Tom Cairney while Cardiff City are keen to re-sign a player who impressed after joining them on loan last January.

The report added that Liverpool believed that Grujic needs to improve his decision making and defensive awareness and felt a temporary spell at another Premier League club would do him the world of good.

So it will be interesting to see how they respond to reports that Galatasrary have made a bid for the former Red Star Belgrade prodigy.

Turkish publication Fotomac claim that Galatasaray are confident about signing Grujic and are even willing to take him on loan rather than a permanent deal should Liverpool decide that they do not want to sell.

The report adds that Liverpool would demand about £10 million for Grujic, double the fee they paid for him two-and-a-half years ago.

But it would surely make little sense to get rid of a player once compared to Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic before he has even come close to realising his true potential.
