Could Chelsea really lose their most exciting young talent to direct Premier League rivals Liverpool?
Liverpool are continuing to keep an eye on Chelsea wonder-kid Callum Hudson-Odoi as they plot a stunning summer move for one of England’s best young talents, according to Sport Bild.
The future of Hudson-Odoi remains up in the air with the transfer window set to open once again in the near future.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have hardly been subtle about their interest in the 18-year-old, making a staggering bid of £35 million during in the January transfer window (Sky).
Chelsea refused to sell and they have been rewarded with some sublime performances from the teenager, who has scored four times since the turn of the year.
But, with Hudson-Odoi yet to commit his future to Maurizio Sarri’s side, the speculation just won’t go away.
Bild claims that Hudson-Odoi is keen on a move to Munich while Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Liverpool are circling ominously. Bild previously stated in January that The Reds had met with Hudson-Odoi’s agent to discuss a stunning switch to Merseyside.
Chelsea will obviously be reluctant to let one of the most impressive youngsters anywhere in Europe leave to join a direct domestic rival. But Hudson-Odoi’s future could be out of their hands given that his contract expires in 2020.
