Stoke City have only handed Ramadan Sobhi 17 Premier League starts since 2016/17 but Liverpool still want to team him up with fellow Egyptian Mo Salah.

Could there be a second Egyptian winger at Anfield next season?

Possibly, as TEAMtalk report that Liverpool are considering a move to team their 36-goal talisman Mo Salah up with his international teammate Ramadan Sobhi on the red half of Merseyside.

Liverpool were first linked with a move for the Stoke City winger back in January when Bleacher Report claimed that manager Jurgen Klopp had asked Salah about his fellow Egyptian and whether he would be worth bringing to Anfield.

And, according to TEAMtalk, it appears Sobhi must have been given a glowing recommendation. Because the skilful Stoke star, who cost £5 million from Egyptian side Al Ahly back in the summer of 2016, will now be the subject of a summer move from a Liverpool team who had tracked him before he moved to the Potteries almost two years ago.

It is understood that Stoke would be willing to sell if Liverpool meet their £15 million price-tag, handing the Potters a decent profit for a player who has shimmered as opposed to shining during his two seasons in English football.

While Salah proved an instant hit, 21-year-old Sobhi has been a slow burner. He has started just 17 Premier League games so far for Stoke, scoring twice and producing a single assist since the start of last season.

But Liverpool obviously see something in this talented young winger.
