Jurgen Klopp reportedly wants Bundesliga star Timo Werner in the Premier League with Liverpool looking for strikers.

Liverpool are on red alert after Timo Werner rejected a new contract at RB Leipzig, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Germany international has been a revelation since he joined Leipzig from Stuttgart three years ago, scoring 48 goals in 89 Bundesliga games including 13 in the current campaign.
But it seems his time at Leipzig is coming to an end. Werner’s current contract is due to expire in 2020 and he has made it clear that he has little interest in extending his stay at the Red Bull Arena.
“We want to extend it with him, but he has signalled to us that he would rather not extend,” club CEO Oliver Mintzlaff told Sky over the weekend.
Back in January, Mintzlaff told Kicker that Leipzig would look to cash in on their prized asset if he refused to sign a new deal, given that they cannot afford to lose Werner on a free in 12 months.

So it seems inevitable that the 23-year-old will have a new club by the time the 2019/20 season kicks off. But could it be Liverpool.
According to the Echo, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the speedy front man, who would add some much needed depth to an attack that looks set to lose Daniel Sturridge and potentially Divock Origi over the coming weeks.
