Iker Muniain could reportedly leave La Liga club Athletic Bilbao for the Premier League with Liverpool or Serie A with Napoli.

Iker Muniain has spent his entire career at Athletic Bilbao but, after 357 first-team appearances, is it time to bid farewell to the San Mames?
A hugely popular and creative midfielder, Muniain will see his contract at Athletic expire at the end of this season. And it has been claimed on Radio Marca (30 October, 7:00am) that both Liverpool and Napoli will attempt to sign the 25-year-old on a pre-contract agreement in the New Year.
But what would Muniain bring to Liverpool – and do they even need him?
Jurgen Klopp’s side have enjoyed a flying start to the season, but there is an argument to be made that their midfield is a little too reliant on perspiration over inspiration. Muniain, however, could add some calm amid the chaos and provide the cutting edge and vision that Anfield has not witnessed since Philippe Coutinho left for Barcelona in January.

The Spaniard has scored four goals in seven La Liga starts this season, although his recent series of injuries would make his potential arrival a risk, even on a free transfer.
Muniain is not the only attacking midfielder with an expiring contract who has been linked with Liverpool in recent months/
