Divock Origi spent last season in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg and will return for pre-season training with Premier League giants Liverpool very soon.

If you thought Divock Origi was finished at Liverpool, think again.
It is expected that Daniel Sturridge will bid farewell to Anfield this summer, while Danny Ings has rejected a new contract and wants to leave this summer, according to the Telegraph. But Liverpool’s other out-of-favour striker Origi looks set to be handed a lifeline.

Origi netted just seven times in 36 games though, to his credit, he did step up at the perfect time as Wolfsburg beat Holstein Kiel in the two-legged relegation play-offs in May.
And the report states that Jurgen Klopp will give the former Lille forward, who joined for £10 million after the 2014 World Cup, the chance to prove himself over the summer; particularly with Roberto Firmino set to return to action late thanks to Brazil’s involvement in Russia. Origi is not up for sale just yet.

On paper, the decision looks a good one. Origi is just 23 and has a fine record in Premier League football. Quick and direct, Origi has scored 12 times in 21 starts in England’s top flight and looked like a real star in the second half of the 2015/16 season.
