Premier League trio Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are all fans of Roma’s goalkeeper Alisson Becker…and Real Madrid hold the key.

Roma's Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson throws the ball during the UEFA Champions League Group C football match AS Roma vs FK Qarabag on December 5, 2017 at the Olympic stadium in Rome.

The watching world could be enthralled by one giant goalkeeping merry-go-round in the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid’s desire to improve upon their Costa Rican number one Keylor Navas has been apparent for some time, with long-standing targets David de Gea and Thibaut Courtois both still on Los Blancos’ radar, according to The Mirror.

And Liverpool will be watching developments closely, because The Mirror adds that their pursuit of Roma’s Brazilian international Alisson Becker will be impacted on what Real Madrid do in the transfer market this summer.

Sky Sports claimed last week that The Reds had made an enquiry about Alisson and are in talks with Roma, though they are understood to be at a very early stage. The former Internacional goalkeeper is valued at £62 million, meaning Liverpool will have to shell out another world record transfer fee shortly after making £75 million Virgil van Dijk the most expensive defender in history.

However, The Mirror claims that both Chelsea and Manchester United will join the race for Alisson should either Courtois or De Gea finally move to Madrid.

Courtois is understood to be in advanced discussions over a new deal at Stamford Bridge while De Gea is also keen to stay in England. The Sun state that the Spaniard, however, is demanding a huge wage increase to £350,000.

Though with De Gea and Courtois unlikely to be leaving, Liverpool will be hoping that a deal for Alisson is made a little more straightforward.

And, to make the deal slightly more likely, The Mirror claimed on Sunday that Alisson would prefer a move to Anfield above all other suitors.
