Jasper Cillessen has made one La Liga appearance for Barcelona but will he choose a move to the Premier League and Liverpool this summer?

For all the scrutiny around Loris Karius, the German goalkeeper has been very impressive since Jurgen Klopp made him Liverpool’s undisputed number one at the turn of the year.
But that does not necessarily mean a new goalkeeper will not be arriving at Anfield this summer. The Sun adds that Klopp is still keen on Roma’s Brazil international Alisson Becker and Stoke City’s Mr Reliable Jack Butland.
And Mundo Deportivo has now added Jasper Cillessen to that list.

Unlike Alisson and Butland, Cillessen has barely played this season and remains Barcelona’s back-up, stuck behind the excellent Marc-Andre Ter Stegen in the pecking order.
Since moving to the Camp Nou from Ajax in 2016 for £12 million, Holland’s number one has made just a single La Liga appearance with his action restricted to Copa del Rey ties.

Mundo Deportivo, however, states that Cillessen is still happy at Barcelona and believes he has grown considerably at the Catalan giants. The report adds that he could be tempted by a move though, if any suitor can guarantee him first-team football with his 30th birthday just over a year away.
Liverpool, Napoli and Atletico Madrid are all interested and, as good as Karius has been, he would perhaps be easier to overthrow than the world class Ter Stegen.
