Ben Woodburn hasn’t started a Championship game since August for The Blades – could Premier League giants Liverpool bring him back to Anfield?

Liverpool’s two Welsh wonderkids left Anfield on loan in the summer transfer window. But one has done far better in the Championship than the offer.
While Harry Wilson has enhanced his growing reputation at Derby County, particularly when scoring that stunning, swerving free-kick against Manchester United in the EFL Cup, Ben Woodburn’s spell at Sheffield United hasn’t been anywhere near as successful.
Woodburn has played just 28 minutes of football since being subbed off at half-time against Norwich City in August and has been left out of the match day squad for six of The Blades’ last eight Championship games.
And Goal is now reporting that Liverpool could look to recall the 19-year-old in the January transfer window if things don’t change, although discussions are yet to take place between the two clubs.

The report adds that The Reds are disappointed about Woodburn’s lack of progress at Bramall Lane, having believed that working under Chris Wilder would get the best out of this precocious talent. The Wales international, who is Liverpool’s youngest ever goalscorer, is being kept out of the side by Mark Duffy.
There was no shortage of interest in Woodburn in the summer, the report adding that Aston Villa and Norwich were keen.
