Ugurcan Cakir’s agent claimed that Premier League outfit Liverpool were interested but is the goalkeeper on his way to Anfield.

Liverpool are continuing to keep tabs on Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir and sent scouts to watch him in action over the weekend, according to Star.
The 2019/20 season is only a few weeks old but The Reds have already endured their fair share of problems between the sticks. Alisson Becker has been missing since sustaining an injury in the opening day victory against Norwich City and, in his absence, Adrian has oscillated wildly between Super Cup heroics and a howler at Southampton.
At 32, Adrian is hardly a long-term solution and Liverpool are apparently keeping a close eye on the up-and-coming Cakir.
The 23-year-old made his international bow for Turkey in March and he has continued the form from his impressive breakthrough campaign in the opening games of the new season.

And Star claims that scouts from Anfield were present in Istanbul on Sunday as Cakir, valued at £14 million, produced a Man of the Match display in a 1-1 draw with Fenerbahce, making an impressive eight saves and showing off his superb reflexes.
Back in May, Cakir’s agent Engin Kirkpinar claimed to HaberTurk that Liverpool were interested in his client. Five months on, he has certainly aced his audition ahead of a potential move to the European champions.
“Lille and Schalke are interested in Ugurcan, Liverpool also has the idea (of signing him),” Kirkpinar said.
