Besiktas’s Domagoj Vida has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs but the World Cup star seems to be on his way to Liverpool.

Liverpool appear to be edging ever closer to their fourth signing of a productive transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp has already strengthened the midfield with the £90 million double-deal for midfielders Fabinho and Naby Keita, while Xherdan Shaqiri has joined from Stoke City after an impressive World Cup with Switzerland.
And Liverpool are reportedly near to signing a player who should massively improve their defensive record next season, and it is not Roma’s Brazilian number one Alisson Becker.
Latest reports from Turkish publication Aksam are claiming that Liverpool have had a £20 million bid accepted by Besiktas for the Croatian defender Domagoj Vida. The 29-year-old, who was supposedly valued at £30 million, is now set for talks with the Anfield giants.
Vida, then, appears to be on the verge of joining his Croatian centre-back partner Dejan Lovren on Merseyside.

The former Dinamo Kiev defender was a revelation over in Russia as he helped Croatia reach the World Cup final, where they were rather unfortunate to lose 4-2 to France.
Vida was terrific in wins against Argentina and England while also scoring a fantastic quarter-final header against Russia. On paper, he should be a far better option than either Joel Matip or Ragnar Klavan.
