Brendan Rodgers got rid of Liam Henderson but the Bari midfielder could reportedly return to the Scottish Premiership with Hearts.

Now this would not look good for Brendan Rodgers.
Just five months after he decided to sell Liam Henderson, the former Celtic youngster could be on his way back to Scotland.
Henderson moved to Serie B side Bari in January for just £115,000 after falling completely out of favour under Rodgers at Parkhead. But, rather than disappear into obscurity, the gifted play-maker shone in Italy’s second tier and has been linked with a number of Serie A sides.

Newly promoted Parma are understood to have offered £1 million, according to the Scottish Sun, while Bologna and Fiorentina have also been linked.

But the most intriguing links come from closer to home. TuttoCalcioPuglia is reporting that Celtic’s Scottish Premiership rivals Hearts are keen to sign Henderson and really rub Rodgers’ nose in it.

It has become clear in the last few months that Celtic have probably made a massive mistake getting rid of one of their most talented academy graduates over the last few years. The 22-year-old was a big hit in Italy, and the fact he is allegedly on the radar of numerous first division clubs shows just how impressive he has been.
But should Henderson make an immediate return to Scotland with Hearts and go on to star at Tynecastle, Rodgers’ decision will end up looking even more baffling.
